Committees

1.      International Affairs Committee 

 

The work includes international activities concerning regulation of Ayurvedic Medicine and report information gleaned during these activities to the active members of AAPRA.

2.      Coordination of Ayurveda Affairs in India Committee

 

The chair shall coordinate all Ayurvedic medicine related activity in India.

3.  Membership Committee

The chair shall be responsible for recruitment of new members within and outside the US.  The membership form can be downloaded from the AAPRA web site www.aapra.com

4.  Business and Fundraising Committee

The chair shall be responsible for raising funds for AAPRA activities and tracking of funds raised to promote the interest of Ayurvedic medicine.

5.  Credentialing Committee

The chair shall be responsible for developing credential criteria for licensing Ayurvedic practitioners.

6.    Planning Committee 

The chair shall be responsible for planning activities to serve the goals of AAPRA.

Dr. Chittra Karki 

7.  Academic Affairs and Research Committee

The chair shall be responsible for monitoring academic and research activities in the Ayurvedic management of chronic diseases to keep the members informed and develop research plans for post graduate studies in Ayurvedic medicine.

8. Public Relations Committee

The chair shall be responsible for developing good relations with media and legislators on behalf of AAPRA. The chair shall find good examples of Ayurvedic management of diseases with sufficient evidence and publish it in local news papers.  The chair shall be responsible to communicate the efficacy of ayurvedic treatments with the legislators responsible for licensing.

9. Constitution Committee.

The chair shall be responsible for developing the constitution of AAPRA which will be reviewed and voted upon by members of the executive committee and committee chairs.  The chair shall also plan future political activities in the US to support and promote  improvement in status of Ayurvedic medicine and BAMS graduates in the US.  Open
